Project Manager job description
•        Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion
•        Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
•        Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
•        Maintain a commitment to zero harm and enforce strict health and safety standards across the group
•        Conduct site inspections, contractor KPI and staff KPI measures against H&S performance
•        Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
•        Review the work progress on daily basis
•        Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
•        Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
•        Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licences
•        Analyse, manage and mitigate risks
•        Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques


Project requiements

• The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a similar role for a main contractor in the local market.
• Solid understanding of relevant legislation and industry compliance standards
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies
• Genuine commitment to HSE and ensuring safe work practices
• Excellent communicator with strong leadership and relationship management skills
• Highly organised with a keen eye for detail
• A positive and solution focused approach
• A valid NZ Driver's Licence
  

QS job description

   Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.

 Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.

 Liaising with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.

 Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.

 Advising managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.

 Keeping track of materials and ordering more when required.

 Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.

 Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders.

 Traveling from the office to various sites as required.

QS requiement

• Hold a NZ QS qualification plus have at least 2+ years’ experience working as a QS in residential construction in the NZ contract environment.
• Strong working knowledge of the NZ Building Code and NZ Building Standards
• Demonstrable experience producing accurate pricing, managing procurement and progress claims, and handling variations across residential projects of varying complexity
• A committed team player, a clear communicator and able to work collaboratively with all stakeholders
• Proficient user of MS Office, and confident using pricing software.
• Able to work autonomously, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
