Sometimes people do strange things - things you yourself would never think of.
And to be fair, wearing a colander on your head while getting your driver licence photo is quite random.
So when a photo of a man doing just that turned up on Facebook, the Campbell Live producers just had to find out more.
The man simply named Russell says that the driver licence is real and it was about making people think about religion.
"I am complying in every respect to the New Zealand law, specifically concerning driver licences," says Russell. "And I am simply claiming the same privileges awarded to those who claim to believe in a magic man in the sky. They can wear religious headwear."
Russell is claiming to be part of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, otherwise known as a Pastafarian, which is a real thing.
Watch the full interview with Russell. |
