Bus services disrupted
Hillside bus services around Christchurch have also been disrupted by the snow.
Environment Canterbury said six services will not travel up hill routes today.
They are: the numbner 11 Westmorland bus will end at Cashmere Road, the number 12 Northwood to Cashmere bus will end at Princess Margaret Hospital , the 14 Harewood to Dyers Pass Road service will end at Cashmere Road, the number 18 St Albans to Huntsbury bus will end at Wilsons Road, the number 21 Mt Pleasant will end trips at the Ferrymead Shops and the number 15 service (Bishopdale to Murray Aynsley) will end at the corner of Vernon Terrace and Centaurus Rd.
Council hearings postponed
The third day of the Christchurch City Council's draft annual plan hearings is also postponed because of the weather.
A council spokeswoman said today's public hearings will be held at a later date and more information on this would be available soon.
"The council decided to postpone today's hearings as snow may make it difficult for some to attend,'' she said.
