Reporting to the Sales Manager, the successful candidate will:
• Assist the sales team with client inquiries, providing detailed information on services and pricing.
• Ensure timely and accurate communication of pricing and service updates to clients and the relevant teams.
• Support the sales process by preparing proposals and other sales materials (e.g. account and credit forms).
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company’s services and offerings to effectively communicate with clients.
• Work closely with the sales team, operations and finance departments to ensure cohesive and effective pricing strategies.
• Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly tariff rate sheets.
• CRM management in CargoWise.
• Collect rates/routing feedback from clients.
• Prepare quotes for agents.
• Support sales on project & tender activities. To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Minimum of 2 years of industry experience.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications.
• Strong proficiency in computer skills, especially MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Previous experience in shipping, freight forwarding, and/or the logistics industry.
• Experience in a Sales Support role or similar, preferably within a related industry.
• A strong passion for all things customer-related.
• Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to plan and coordinate workflows and performance effectively and without supervision.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment. To apply for this role, you must be a New Zealand citizen or a permanent resident.
