LATEST: Police are investigating the deaths of three Korean women at a suburban Christchurch home.
Inspector Alan Weston, of the Police Southern Communications Centre,said police were called to the Apsley Drive home in Avonhead at 10.30amthis morning.
The matter would be referred to the coroner, he said.
The women's names would not be released until next of kin had beenadvised, but The Press understands the women were family members.
Radio New Zealand reported the bodies were those of two women and a teenager.
A detective, Senior Sergeant Virginia le Bas, said police did notsuspect any foul play and were not looking for anyone else inconnection with the deaths.
The names of the dead will not be released until family overseas have been contacted.
The large five-bedroom house had just been sold.
Post mortem examinations would be conducted this afternoon.
