Position: Nurseryperson

Location: Auckland south

Full time: 30-40h per week

Salary: $25-$33 per hour

We are currently seeking an experienced nurserypersonto join our team.

Duties:

1.    Preparing the soil, seeding,tilling and planting.

2.    Maintaining the good conditionof the vegetable plants.

3.    Developing liquid nutrient/fertilizerformula being suitable to different phase of plant growth, implementingfertilizer plan in timely manner and recording all applications.

4.    Providing technical instructionon and implementing the chemical application.

5.    Observing and recording everyphase of plant phenological and morphological development

6.    Recording, maintaining and analyzingdata of plant attributes collected in order to improve quality of our product

7.    Pest and disease management toensure the plants are prevented from damage of insects, bacteria, fungi, mouseand birds

8.    Organizing the irritationactivities.

9.    Implementing an effective weedcontrol program.

10.  Carrying out the harvest schedule.

11.  Monitoring, recording, managing and controlling all climateparameters so that optimum micro-environment can be achieved and maintained,which are the essential to grow healthy plants and maximize production andoutput of the system.

12.  Preparing the produce for the market by overseeing the washing,bunching, packaging, storing and sale processes.

13.  Assisting the Farm Manager to ensure scheduled servicing happens indue course and all maintenance undertaken is recorded.

14.  Carrying out repair, maintenance and replacement of farmingequipment and tools.

15.  Keeping the farm growing areas tidy and well presented.

16.  Assisting Farm Manager to complete Health and Safety register incompliance with the relevant regulations.

17.  Notifying Farm Manager of any accident or potential hazards asidentified.

18.  Carrying out market research to understand the shift or change inmarket trend to plan the produce preparation.

19.  Other duties that are reasonably required by the Farm Manager.

Applicants must have a NZ driver license.

Applicants must have a valid visa or citizenship.

Applicants must have a bachelor degree or more than 5 years of experience in relevant industries.
