About the role:

We are looking for an experienced food production Assistant Manager (2IC) [Night Shift] at St Pierres Sushi on a permanent full-time position to help manage our Sushi wholesale production department, located in Auckland City Centre.

These rostered shifts vary between Sunday to Friday during the week, and between the hours of 4pm to 4am.

Your typical day will include:

• Supervising on-shift, training and managing staff, and more;

• Weekly scheduling of staff, maintaining weekly wage cost of operations

• Managing administrative tasks on computer, including email correspondence

• Reviewing orders, completing production reports, creating dockets

• Involved with stock ordering and maintaining stock levels

• Maintaining temperature & record-keeping as per MPI requirements

• Preparing food ingredients ready for cooking and serving on timely basis

• Cooking dishes under the supervision of our Sushi factory manager

• Packing food and beverage trays for serving

• Cleaning and maintaining kitchens, dishes, food preparation areas, and relevant tools and equipment to a high standard

• Correctly storing food supplies, cooking tools, utensils, and dishes in storage areas

  
  

The successful applicant must:

• Be interested in a long-term career with St. Pierre's, and is excited to work as part of a successful established team

• Has a strong work ethic, a great attitude, and is always willing to learn more

• Pays attention to small details, is punctual, and has good organization skills

• Ideally has previous experience in a similar role and has a good understanding of safe food-handling procedures

• Must be physically-fit (8+ hour shifts and heavy lifting may be expected)

• Has reliable transportation to Auckland City central

• Has a good command of English and computer literate

• Eligibility to work in New Zealand (required) with a valid visa

• Must have relevant experience, flexible work hours, and be available to work full-time

• Fluent in fluent in English and Mandarin
