有多少妈妈给宝宝打了预防脑膜炎的预防针？

我打算麻疹的第二针打完之后去问GP，我记得两年前这里meningitis爆发的时候当时有免费给孩子打疫苗的。所以应该有这个疫苗，但是现在估计不是免费，大家去家庭医生那里问问，要打应该也是在那里打的。

There is currently (2011) no meningococcal vaccine included on the National Immunisation Schedule. However, meningococcal vaccines may still be recommended for those at particular risk, and may be funded in some circumstances. People who want their child to receive a meningococcal vaccination should discuss this with their doctor.

Previous meningococcal B epidemic and vaccine
A meningococcal B immunisation programme was previously introduced in response to an epidemic in New Zealand of a meningococcal B strain (vaccine MeNZB was developed for this purpose). The special immunisation programme ran from 2004 to 2008, and was discontinued after disease rates had been reduced substantially. The last phase of the meningococcal B programme, which was for immunisation for people with a high medical risk, ended in March 2011.

所以说是有脑膜炎的疫苗的，NZ曾经在04-08年有过免费的疫苗meningococcal B vaccine，后来因为脑膜炎控制了就停止了，最后一次免费是这年3月结束的。
Immunisation
The immunisation section contains specific information about meningococcal vaccines and who they are recommended for.

There are two main types of meningococcal vaccines available in New Zealand. Polysaccharide vaccine covering groups A, C, W135 and Y (available for use over the age of two), and conjugate vaccine against group C alone (can be used under the age of two).

These vaccines are not part of the National Immunisation Schedule. Apart from some people at high risk (eg without spleens), meningococcal vaccines are not publicly funded, but are available for private purchase through general practices if people want them.

Note that there are currently no available vaccines for meningococcal B in New Zealand (the MeNZB™ vaccine previously used in NZ was specifically developed to curb the meningococcal B epidemic).

根据MINISTRY OF HEALTH OF NZ 所说的，NZ 现在只有两种脑膜炎的疫苗，Polysaccharide vaccine covering groups A, C, W135 and Y (available for use over the age of two), and conjugate vaccine against group C alone (can be used under the age of two). 这些都是针对那些有多脾切除或者脾疾病的人免费外，对我们这都不是免费的，但都是可以在GP那要求打的！
还有一种现在没得打的meningococcal B vaccine，因为这种是只在以前特殊时候脑膜炎爆发的时候出现过而已。（据说最近这次北岛打的也是这种疫苗，所以北岛那几个中学学生都是免费打的，至于我们就没有免费，可是这种在GP那还有没有就要去问GP了)

我打电话去IMMUNISATION ADVISORY CENTER 问过了，小于两岁的孩子最好是在6个月以后才打
