I am just started investigating into buying share in NZX, still a newbie, anyone here in worker forum with the same interest ?

Lost $20k+ in 2008/09.

Not into shares anymore.

Read Peter Lynch's books:
1) One Up on Wall Street
2) Beating the Street

One of his quotes on picking the right shares: "2 out of 3 is a good result"

2 out of 3 chance is not good enough.

Why invest in shares when I can get infinite returns in property?

mate, sorry to know you lost 20k, those were the darks ages of sharemarket.

I knew you going to say property is better! haha, it is better in the long run i guess, however, sharemarket offers some quick wins (if done properly)

but yea,, i actually strongly agree with u, property is better than sharemarket to make stable growth...

quick gain = speculation/gambling

that applies to property too.

I'm not into buying shares too...but very curious to know which are the stocks you are studying and are you doing things like fundamental or technical analysis?

Well, I am Looking at trademe IPO, Fletcher building, air nz, Auckland airport, and some high risk ones like Mad Energy, rakon. I study by reading all the share market news daily, financial news in nz, etc

Still at early stage yet, plenty to learn!
