12时许武装警察已离开学校了，孩子们恢复正常上课。真的是虚惊一场。。。。

上午11时学生看到的只是疑似持枪的16－18岁的毛利男，没有指向谁或袭击谁，报警后学生都要求留在教室。毛利男离开学校不知去向。

是否真持枪，或有其它意图，目前无法得知答案

A police search for an apparent gunman near a Christchurch high school has ended with the discovery of a toy pistol.

Police say they have spoken to the young person found with the toy gun, and don't believe there was any "malicious intent" in today's events.

Burnside High School was placed in lock-down after the man was seen by students walking through the grounds around 11am.

Police say enquiries are continuing and that students did the right thing in reporting it to police.
