they call social integration. can't built all state houses in Glen innes, otara, mangare, south auckland etc
Built some in gd school zones, eg mt eden, epsom, north shore, and let them (underpreviledged group) mixed with the rest of communities.
i think state housing policy is moving to this direction. ie, we don't want exclusive state housing areas, we want mixed stated housing areas spreading in different suburds with apartments, units. Hence, they sell some houses in Kohimarama, Sandringham, GI, and use the money to buy in other areas.
HNZ has about 80,000 houses, so far they are the biggest landlords in auckland.
Now they sold their fullsite properties for capital gain and use the money to buy/ built smaller units/apartments for cash flow.
They are singing the same song " cash flow positive, cash flow positive 正現金流 正現金流 "
