"Be yourself and be an authentic person.
and I am proud of who I am "
Some of the things people said here are not so true, I just went with my son for an interview and received the news on the second day he is accepted for year 7 (Pinehurst).
As the interviewer said, the next 20 mins are reserved for my son, I was there just an observer. When the interviewer asked do I had anything to add for the conclusion of the interview? I just said, " My son and I are mentally prepared for this school and I will play my part in my son's new journey."
I could see the blinking eyes of the interviewer, he said we like people like you in the school community.
___________
Before deciding which school to go to, I actually do some research on the kiwi parents' discussion forum on public school vs Private school and NCEA, Cambridge, IB, and gain some good knowledge on the flaws and weaknesses of the system, I must say, there are a lot of concerned parents whether Asians, kiwi or any races and is good to know from many people's perspective and draw my own conclusion.
Somehow, I felt really happy to see my son able to move on for his new journey.
