I think by bring a smart phone with you every day, you are traced by apple, google. They know where ...
The arguments of additional transaction fee and privacy about Apple Pay / Android Pay / Samsung Pay is misguiding/misleading to others, and should be clarified or corrected.
I agree that privacy is a valid concern and a very valid point, where Apple / Google have the capability to hold information about our spending behaviour.
Similar things apply to using a physical card, but to a less magnitude.
If the merchant for the POS machine has correct information registered with the banks/credit card company, the information such as location, merchant detail, account holder information, transaction detail is likely to be known to multiple systems integrating to the card issuer (e.g. a fraud prevention system, the bank themselves, payment processor etc.).
There is no additional transaction fee when using Apple Pay vs using a physical card as discussed earlier. |
