Brazilian footballer Danilo Padilha was pulled alive from the mangled wreck of his plane and managed to call his wife from his hospital bed - just moments before he died from his injuries. Padilha was on the charter flight with his Chapecoense team mates, managers and several journalists when it smashed into the Colombian mountains after a suspected electrical fault on Monday local time (Tuesday NZT). Officials have said 75 people died in the crash, but six people were still alive. Chapecoense, from Brazil's top league, were on their way to play the biggest game in their history, against Atletico Nacional of Medellin in the first leg of the final of the Copa Sudamericana competition of South American clubs.
