We have seen several incidents over the past few weeks of computers within the University being used to illegally download files from the Internet. This is primarily being done using the so-called file sharing applications such as the various Torrent clients, although it includes the use of web based download sites. The types of files being downloaded include movies, music etc.
Generally any files where the original material would have been paid for and which you do not own the original of would be included in this category.
Clearly it is very disappointing to see this misuse of equipment. It also puts the University at significant risk of prosecution, and is clearly not in any way acceptable use of the University’s IT equipment.
这下以后是不是 只能去youtube了阿 |
