Help!!!! Resident visa for parents......

Hey guys, had a very urgent issue need you guys' specialized comments on the resident via for my parents.

I have recevied a letter from Shanghai Immig. branch asked us to provide the immediate family members' notarised relationship certificates.
The principal and secondary applicants' notarised relationship certificates showing details of all your immediate family members (parents and siblings)

I wonder that is essential to supply?? and one of my friends sponsor the parents at similar time as me, but she wasn't asked to do that.

The problem is some of my aunts and uncles are not in the same city, I mean how can we go to collect all of their ID and get notarised. What a headache!!!!

Can you guys please give any good ideas or tips for this matter?  Thanks and would be much appreciate for any comments.
