About the role:  

Reporting to the General Manager, our Warehouse Coordinator (Inwards) will hold an important role being the main conduit between our customer service and warehouse teams.  They will be responsible for planning overseeing the day-to-day stock movements, ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently.  You’ll be responsible for managing our inventory movements which will enable our Order Picking team to dispatch orders efficiently and meeting deadlines.  

You will also be maintaining a safe and organised work environment for our team. This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday 6.00am – 2:30pm.  

Responsibilities include:

• Plan and book shipping container delivery to our yard
• Avoid penalties such as detention and demurrage charges
• Plan the resource for stock movements between our offsite storage and third parties.
• Ensure we are meeting our MPI Transitional Facility requirements
• Overseeing and managing inventory levels, ensuring accuracy in inventory counts and resolving discrepancies
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless and efficient warehouse operations
• Assisting in the creation and implementation of warehouse policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency
  

The Ideal Person:

• Has previous experience in a similar role or warehouse environment, with a strong focus on communication
• Is positive and a good problem solver
• Is a team player, driven and self-motivated
• Can work independently, takes initiative but knows when to ask questions
• Takes responsibility seriously
• Gets on well with others but knows when to be strict and firm
• Physically capable and comfortably able to be on your feet all day
• Can do heavy lifting (20kg-25kg)
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Basic-Intermediate computer skills including Word, Excel
• Experience using a stock management system
• A current valid MPI AP certificate is a bonus but not essential
• A full class 1 driver license plus certification to drive a counterbalance and reach truck are highly beneficial but not a must if you are the right candidate
