To support this, we are now looking for a Sales Executive with freight forwarding industry experience and a true hunter mindset to win new business and grow gross profit across our key trade lanes.
About the Role : Sales Executive Reporting to the Sales Manager, the successful candidate will: Arrange minimum of 15 qualified customer meetings per week, aligned with target industries and trade lanes. Proactively identify and target new customers through prospecting, field visits, networking, referrals, and cold calling. Spend approximately 70% of your time on outside sales (customer site visits, face-to-face meetings) and the balance in inside sales (phone/online prospecting and follow-up). Understand customer supply chain needs and, together with the operations and pricing teams, design and sell customized Air & Ocean freight solutions. Prepare and present tailored proposals, quotations and service agreements, and negotiate rates and terms in line with ACS pricing guidelines. Convert qualified leads to new trading accounts, ensuring structured onboarding, clear expectations and smooth implementation. Accurate and timely CRM updates, sales reporting, and forecast management.
To be successful in this role, you will need : You are a commercially sharp, self-motivated sales professional who enjoys being in front of customers and closing deals. You thrive in a competitive market and understand that consistent activity, strong relationships, and disciplined follow-through drive results. You will bring: Minimum of 2 years of industry experience. Proven success in a Sales / Business Development role within freight forwarding, logistics ideally across both Air & Ocean. Strong understanding of international freight forwarding processes, pricing structures, and cost/revenue drivers. Demonstrated track record in winning, implementing and growing new business and managing a sales pipeline. Highly self-motivated, hands-on and proactive, with a strong hunter mentality and the ability to work autonomously in the field. Excellent relationship-building, presentation and negotiation skills, with the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels (internal and external). Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with solid experience using a CRM system as a core sales tool.
