Cellphones
While you are driving, you cannot create, send, or read a text message on a cellphone or use a hand-held cellphone to make or receive a phone call. This includes accessing online services in any way.
You can, however, use your cellphone to make, receive or terminate a telephone call while driving if the phone is secured in a mounting fixed to the vehicle and you manipulate the phone infrequently and briefly.
You can also use a cellphone while driving to make a 111 or *555 call if it is unsafe or impractical to pull over and stop in a safe place at the side of the road to make the call.

there is no grey area...key word is hand held...not what functions you are using...dont be mislead by media

(2) An enforcement officer may, while driving a vehicle, use a mobile phone to make, receive, or terminate a telephone call if the officer is making, receiving, or terminating the call in the execution of the officer's duty.

(3) A driver may, while driving a vehicle, use a mobile phone if—

(a) the driver is using the phone to make a 111 or *555 call; and

(b) it is unsafe or impracticable for the driver to stop and park the vehicle to make the call.

(4) A driver may, while driving a vehicle, use a mobile phone to make, receive, or terminate a telephone call if the phone does not require the driver to hold or manipulate it to make, receive, or terminate the call.

(5) [Revoked]

(6) A driver may, while driving a vehicle, use a mobile phone to make, receive, or terminate a telephone call if the vehicle has stopped for a reason other than the normal starting and stopping of vehicles in a flow of traffic.

(7) A driver may, while driving a vehicle, use a mobile phone in a way described in subclause (1)(a) or (f), if both the following apply:

(a) the phone is secured in a mounting fixed to the vehicle; and

(b) if the driver manipulates or looks at the phone, he or she does so infrequently and briefly.

磁铁不好，时间久了会影响到手机的GPS定位精确性。我手机就是，一直用带磁铁的套子，突然一天发现gps不准了，折腾半天也不行，上网查一下，就卸了套子，gps有好了。

我去， gps是数字信号好吗， 跟磁铁有毛关系？？模拟信号才会有影响

错了， 只要在开车 看手机就是错.

当然我偶尔也看， 但也是错的. 我知错就不出来找人评理了呵呵~~ 别砸我

if you ignore it and keep doing what you were doing and causing a crash, you will get charged with way more serious offences e.g. Careless Driving, Careless Driving causing injuries or Death

Using phone as a GPS does not mean you can typing on ur phone while driving or using one of your hands to hold while driving.

You set it and put it aside and listen to voice prompts while driving or just simply purchase a proper GPS unit.

I would give anyone, I MEAN ANYONE a ticket when I see them driving while using their mobile phones for whatever reasons.

You do have 28 days to appeal in writing.

不是影响信号，是电子罗盘，我手机不准时就是老出现需要调整电子罗盘的要求。网上查了，电子罗盘在比较强的磁场下就需要经常调整，电子罗盘不准就是gps里那个剪头头不准，比如你明明往往北走，可是那个剪头要不没反应就是往其他方向指。当然，可能不同手机可能会有差别，不同的手机配件也会不同，毕竟电子罗盘不像传统罗盘，受磁场影响比较小，我手机用比较长了，而且以前一直总带磁铁的套子，而且什么带磁的银行卡都查手机套里，时间久了才会影响到。现在所有带磁的东西都不碰，手机的导航就完全正常了

以下我说的情况都在等红灯情况下：

1.如果GPS导航错误，我拿下来重新设定（红灯）
2.GPS充电线掉了，我拿下来插上，这时候需要双手（红灯情况下）
3.导航架掉了，我等红灯时候重新装上（红灯）
4.只在等红灯时候，拿下手机确认路线是否正确，然后将手机放回导航架（红灯）
5.开车时候，可以用蓝牙耳机接电话吗？如果可以，那么路线如果错误，我在红灯时候重新设定路线，可以吗？（红灯）
6.警察开车可以打电话吗？如果不可以，那我看到了是不是可以拍照？（红灯/开车，但不是在爆闪的情况下）


另外请问你在开车或者等红绿灯时候，没有接过电话，打过电话？你能保证吗？（假设你家里有急事，难道你不回电话，20分钟在内没有可以停车的地方）

导航能看GPS就看GPS，手机太小了，万一有个电话打过来，而且你还是在不熟悉的路上，你就悲剧了

Distraction is a major factor causing road crashes.

Hands free-blue tooth equipment is encouraged to be used.

While you waiting for red lights, you still CAN NOT operate mobile phone.

We do not make laws , we enforce laws.

Police Officers can operate their mobile phone while driving due to emergency circumstances.

Normally we pulled over to answer phone calls.

In another words, we can operate mobile phone while driving as long as it is justifiable.

Take a photo next time if you like and lodge a compliant if you want to , it is your right.

停车时看看无所谓的，但是要注意红绿灯。

没有立法化妆合不合法因为这样的人太少，尤其是化眼妆，能化好绝对可以去杂技团去演出了

這就是一個目標不明的惡法，反正我是不會理會的。我被罰款過2次了，但是我照樣會繼續開車時用手機：GPS和打電話，我都會照樣做。要抓就來抓，反正機率不大（反正這麽多年才2次），錢我給你。

用手機打電話分心沒錯——可是讓司機分心的是打電話本身，而不是少了一只手在方向盤上。這是有多個心理學研究驗證的。現在這條法律允許hands-free，允許你分心，簡直本末倒置。

惡法可怕但不噁心，噁心的是不動腦子就拿著惡法做擋箭牌這些所謂執法者。

扯什麽"distraction is a major factor causing road crashes"，假如真的要把"distraction"這個風險去掉就應該禁止在車上開手機。既然hands-free是合法的，別的就什麽都不用扯了，都在自打嘴巴而已。警察要和我說警察自己也沒辦法，規定如此，沒問題，我理解。但這些警察扯得好像真的相信他們開的罰單在拯救大衆一樣就噁心了。

不要緊，錢我給你，分你照扣。有本事讓滿大街都是警察讓我每天都被抓。

You are that kind of traffic cop who can't reason? You really think you are "helping" taxpaying drivers to keep them safe on the road? Stop fooling yourself, those talking on the phone with "hands-free" are those who are really being "distracted". It is not your fault they have passed this stupid legislation to target and punish some of the drivers and leave the rest of more "distracted drivers" alone. It's funny to see how you talked about who should be off the road while you don't actually have a clue though.

Fortunately you can never fill the street with senseless cops to enforce a law that lacks common sense itself.
