Ha ha yes, sometimes being so tall is not that good, alot of times when I really like a girl but I didn't make any moves because I'm too tall for her.  And sometimes you get lots of people look at you on the street, it's like they've never seen a guy so tall before.

really？ i thought 193 isn't quite tall enough to have random people staring at you.... i thought people over 6'3 isn't that uncommon here in new zealand. in china maybe.

not sure which part of hobbit town you are staying, but my boyfriend is 6'5 and have never been stared at. if he goes to china, maybe its a different story, but in new zealand? i guess not. people over 6'5 are although not exactly common, but definitely not unusual. and you're not Yao Ming...  

and turning down girls coz you are too tall for them? (in other words... they are too short... ) I am only 5'2 (so yes, my boyfriend is over a foot taller than me) and we are happy together. My friend is 5' exactly and her boyfriend is 6'7!!! (and no, her boyfriend wasn't stared at on the street either) and they are happy. in fact, they are not boyfriend and girlfriend anymore. they are engaged instead...

you said it: don't judge a book by its cover. see the paradox?

by the way.... not sure what does an assistant nurse do... i thought nurses are assistants themselves (to help doctors look after patients). but again, i am not that familia with hospitals so forgive me please if i've just asked a stupid question.

(顺便说一下, 5' = 152 cm

6' = 182cm,

6'5 = 195 cm

6'7 = 200cm

First of all, thanks for taking time to write that, I'm glad to hear that you and your BF are happily ever after.
Sorry I don't know why there isn't any random people looking at your BF, but I do get that sometimes, maybe I'm ugly or something so people want to take a second look or judge me and I'm not saying that to make myself special.
I'm not turning down girls because of their height, I just state what kind of person I'm looking for,
I do treat every people the same and this is the first lesson we learn in Nursing.

For what I said about "Don't judge a book by it's cover" was a joke, I was making fun of myself. Sorry if that makes you misunderstanding or feel uncomfortable.

Sometimes people like to prove themself or showing how good they are by making other people look bad,
