Really?! thats surprising to know ! then i guess it make sense for him to add some mandarin song to his concert in Auckland.

In terms of lyrics, songs in Mandarin are always better than the Cantonese ones and are more touching, there is no exception to Eason's songs. For example, compare his "King of K", in case you have heard both the Mandarin and Cantonese version, you will find the words of the Mandarin one gives more feelings and the Cantonese one just sounds likes shit, others like "Lonely Christmas" (Cantonese) and its Mandarin version "the Christmas Knot", the 'Christmas Knot' is simply better and more in depth in expressing that kind of loneliness - thats why I enjoy his Mandarin songs more~...
Also, given the majority of Chinese population here now appear to speak Mandarin so I guess he will know what to do and will have a good balance, so no worries mate, haha (thou I dont think I will go btw ~) |
