希望知道的能给予指导。
I just have a few questions with regards tothe taxation; I am wondering whether someone could help me work out the best option.
I am currently working part time for one big organisation, 20 hours a week . I got situation here , one of the mangers from other department is willing to contract me to do a project for them in the next 7-8 months.( properly 20-25 hours each week.) As under thecurrent company policy, the company won’t be able to employ me and treat me like a full time staff ( 20 hours for my existing position and another 20 hoursfor the new project). I will have to manually invoice the company and claim the time I spent on the new project.
Now the question raised, how could I invoice them if I don’t have a GST number.( my friend told me i could get my own GST number once my new company registered)
One of my other friends told me I didn’t need to set up a new company, I could trade as sole trader. But I am not quite sure how it works; I hardly find any useful information from the IRD website. I don’treally know how to work out the tax and charge my time if I trade as soletrader.Hoping someone could explain how sole trader work out their tax.
As the project will only be valid for 7-8months ( it might be further extended depending on the budget), will it benecessary for me to set up a new company?)
Could you please help me to find the bestsuitable solution for my situation? And how it works step by step?
Many thanks and Kind regards |
