有JOB OFFER的优先, We will give priority to applications with job offers。
Skilled Migrant
Workflows and priorities
* The Pool draw which would potentially allocate your Expression of Interest (EOI) to the Hamilton branch occurs every two weeks.
* An initial assessment is then made by your case officer within 10 working days of the pool draw. Your case officer will then contact you shortly after either inviting you to apply or requesting further information.
* Once the pre-populated application form is returned to our branch, your case officer will take between three weeks and three months, on average, to make a final decision on your application. (Processing times largely depend on whether you have supplied your case officer with everything they have requested in your Invitation to Apply.)
Skilled migrant applications without job offers
Our office to date has received only a few Expressions of Interest that do not have job offers. However, as the pass mark has remained at 100 points since September 2004, we expect the number of these types of applications to increase. We will give priority to applications with job offers.
If your application is queued and you receive a job offer at any stage please fax it to us directly on 07 957 3217 and your application will be prioritised accordingly.
Things that may delay a Skilled Migrant application
* An existing medical condition (please provide a report from your specialist clarifying the history and prognosis of the condition).
* A criminal conviction listed on your police certificate (please give a written account outlining the circumstances surrounding the offence).
* Work references which do not list your position and the start and end dates of your complete employment history.
* Any custody issues surrounding children that may be included with a residence application.
* The time needed to carry out verification work.
* The time for New Zealand police certificates to be processed (these can take up to 6-8 weeks).
