For anyone who doesn't want people to get their details from their number plate

As of 1 November 2010, a new law comes into effect which allows third parties access to your name and address details via your vehicle registration plates.
You are able to elect not to have your personal details released however if you do not do this then people will be able to look up your rego plate and get the details from the net without paying anything.

(this means you could be driving along, maybe annoy someone with your driving, they make a call, get your address from your license plate number, and hello! they're waiting for you when you get home ..  Or of course, if you are exceptionally good looking like me, they may just want to find out where you live!)
