請教各位大大AUCKLAND的工作生活治安情況

又到了人生選擇的十字路口，想了解一下AUCKLAND的工作生活治安情況，再做決定。

1.Consultant, IT的工作壓力應該不大吧？面試幾輪，感覺都比較輕鬆，談着談着，基本上都談到有什麼戶外活動，去哪裡玩之類的。

2.華人社區大嗎？有早茶，Karaoke，Massage，Gun shooting, 飛行俱樂部，遊艇會等等娛樂的地方嗎？都應該有吧？

3.治安好不好？有槍擊事件嗎？

如果你是从美国来的，那这么告诉你

玩的东西不会比美国少，压力肯定小得多，小偷是不可能没有的但治安比美国大多地方要好得多

謝謝你回帖，我也去過那幾個地方，感覺都挺好的，除了治安問題。所以，覺得華盛頓是最好的，安靜，平和的小城市。

我以為NZ，AUS的槍支管制嚴格，不會像美國那麼亂。

说得是啊！有道理！在美国当餐馆服务员每个月的工资+小费的全部收入可能比这里有些每天到正式的公司全职上班的人都多！而且美国的物价比新西兰的还要低！

Have you ever been to New Zealand before and how old are you? Will you come to NZ by yourself or with your family?

Then, just come here and experience yourself.

If you like a cosmopolitian lifestyle, Auckland is definitely not for you.

But if you prefer an easy but quality living environment, life without fear of terrorist attack or gunshot, comfortable weather and beautiful natural landscape - then you may enjoy being here.

The Chinese Community here may not be too big compared with what you have experienced in US but I have heard that we are indeed not too bad compared with our counterpart in, say, Sydney (where there are much more Chinese over there) on many aspects in terms of "Chinese lifestyle" - although we dont have the ugly and shoddy Chinatown, we are not lack of Chinese restaurants (indeed, they are all over the place!), we have a large number of free Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio and even TV channels. Cinemas here also show the latest Chinese movies from time to time...

Also, from Skykiwi, you can see how "vibrant" the Chinese community here is....

Hey, thanks for the reply, dude. Usually, I do research before making the lifetime decision. So, here I am. I haven't been to NZ. For me, I don't live the giant cities, like NYC, shanghai. But I prefer to live in a urban area with good weather, not that cold, and with all  the entertainments. Canada is not my cup of tea while San Francisco is. Not that sure if Auckland is too small for me.

The Green Card means permanent resident here. China is not a good place to live. It's the Africa income with Japan living cost. However, I haven't made up my mind on the destination...AUS, NZ or U.S...life is complicated...Choices are not good sometimes.

However, the skykiwi ppl is nice. quite impressed.
