如何申请产假（Maternity leave or parental leave）
前提是你必须是新西兰CITIZEN，PR，或者持2年工作签证。
妇女即将生孩子或者有6岁以下儿童需要照顾，都可以修产假。
1．如果到你预产期那天（或者到你要离开工作照顾的6岁以下儿童那天），你在同一雇主那里工作超过一年，而且你每周平均工作不少于10小时，每周工作至少1个小时，每个月工作不少于40个小时。你可以有10天的Special leave, 比如去做产检。你可以修52周产假，其中可以包括14周带薪产假。
2．如果到你预产期那天（或者到你要离开工作照顾的6岁以下儿童那天），你在同一雇主那里工作超过半年，而且你每周平均工作不少于10小时，每周工作至少1个小时，每个月工作不少于40个小时。你可以有10天的Special leave, 比如去做产检。可以修14周带薪产假。

1．你要在预产期前3个月写信通知你的雇主。其中要附上一份你的医生或者MW写明你的预产期的证明信。
The letter must say:
·What type of leave you want
·When you want the leave to start, and how long the period of leave will be.
If you are sharing any part of your leave with your spouse/partner, the letter must also say:
·The dates on which you and your spouse/partner plan to start and finish each period of leave
·Your spouse/partner’s name and, if they are an employee, the name and address of their employer
·That you and your spouse/partner are both eligible for the leave you are applying for
·That the total amount of leave you and your spouse/partner are taking will not be more than 52 weeks (not counting any partner’s/paternity leave taken).
SAMPLE
Dear XXX：
I wish to inform you that I would like to take parental leave.
I attach a certificate from my midwife saying when my baby is due.
I would like to take my maternity leave between XXX and XXX.
The total leave I am applying for is no more than 14 weeks.
Your sincerely,

2．你的雇主要给你回一封信，（如果他需要更多的INFORMATION，你要在2周内给齐他需要的INFORMATION）。一旦所有资料齐备，他要在3周内给你回信，说明他批准（或者不批准）你修产假。
The reply should state:
·Whether you are entitled to take parental leave, and if not, the reasons why not
·The main legal rights and obligations you have, particularly those relating to when you can start your leave
·Whether or not the job can be kept open. If it can’t, the letter should explain that you are able to dispute that, and will have preference for similar jobs for six months after the end of your parental leave.

带薪产假是由IRD发的
如果你的工资低于372.12每周，那么产假中每周你会得到和你工资相等的钱数。（这个钱数是税前，打入你帐户的会减掉税）
如果你的工资高于372.12每周，那么产假中每周你会得到372.12（这个钱数是税前，打入你帐户的会减掉税）
如果你是Self employed, 你没有赚钱，或者你赚的底于最低工资，每周工作超过10小时，那么产假中每周你会得到102.5（这个钱数是税前，打入你帐户的会减掉税）
