3月5日（周二），任何人都必须填写个人或住宅普查问卷表，拒绝不填将被视为违法行为。一经定罪，你将会被处以500纽币罚款，按每天收费20纽币计算，直到你正确填写好表格。
2006年人口普查时，新西兰统计局把没有填表的70人告上法庭。


Census taking stock of NZ's changing society

The 2013 census isn't a marketing survey for new toothpaste. You can't politely decline and close the door.

Anyone who doesn't fill out the individual and dwelling forms for Census Day, Tuesday March 5, is breaking the law.

You can be convicted and fined $500, with a further $20 accruing for every subsequent day you fail to fill out the form.

After the 2006 Census, Statistics New Zealand took 70 people to court for failing to fill out their forms. It is taken seriously.

Asian ethnicities feature the most prominently among the missing people, with language barriers sometimes making them difficult to reach. However, there is a small group who do object; claiming it is none of the Government's business whether they live in a tent or have trouble lifting heavy objects (two possible responses to census questions).

Do you have to do it?

Yes. Everyone who is in New Zealand on

census day must fill in a census form. Filling in

census forms is required by law.


Who gets counted?
Everybody in the country on census night, including babies and visitors, gets counted in the census. It's an official count of the population.

我也是昨天刚刚在网上填了

刚打电话啦，
没有表格的一定要打电话去要表格，
然后才可以在网上填表，
不是一定要今天填好的。
只要填了就好，所以，大家也尽快吧。

I have completed my forms on paper – what happens now?

The collector will return to your household to collect the forms between Wednesday, 6 March and Sunday, 17 March 2013.

No one has come to pick up my forms
If you have completed paper forms, they will be collected some time between Wednesday, 6 March and Sunday, 17 March 2013.
If your collector cannot contact you to pick up the completed forms during the collection time, they will leave a freepost envelope. You can also request a freepost envelope by calling the helpline toll-free on 0800 CENSUS (0800 236 787).
If all the forms for your household have been completed online, your collector may not need to call back. You can dispose of any unused forms after 6 March 2013.
