Sociology 220..the topic of the paper is...Last Call: Sociology of Death.
I guess its about how the society deals with the topic of death? Interesting topic I guess (whytheheck did I choose this paper when I know I would be easily affected by this topic.....OTZ)....<<actually quite sure abt that. Just briefly browsed through last year's exam paper.
BTW....SOCIOL226 is a special topic paper on Earning and Caring. I guess it would be useful to know more about the situation of the labour market and specfic caring facilities for older people? I guess this may be touched in the paper? Im not sure.

Hmmm....I am thinking that I will do the introduction to criminology in summer....
Actually I am not exactly sure if I should do a double major in sociology and psychology or just a single major in psychology...what would you think?

I guess I would like to go crimological..?
But with the current papers Im taking--i dun wanna waste time to take the criminology required sociology papers just to get the criminology title....SOCIOL 308  Law and Identity , and maybe SOCIOL 317  Sociology of the Welfare State ? Research...I will be doing something related to research for stage 3 psychology already--for possible future postgrad studying (research paper is required...)
SOCIOL 325  Sociology of Emotions  and SOCIOL 335  Organization and Representation  ....if they open these two papers next year....325 quite matches with psychology I guess, and I hope that they will have something based on psychology...335, I guess is more useful for work.
Which trend would you like to go? WHat other subjects are you studying? (Im asking this as Im curious and, these two questions are also affect your choice.)

Hmm...I cant lie that I am really interested in both psychology and sociology.
But it seems that with sociology as the (only) major...
I am not sure sociology graduates' market....May you tell me more about it?
Somebody told me that employers like philosophy students....
Hmm...I just wonder if sociology is such a good choice if I am not planning to do any further studies atm....
And I would like to ensure that I would fit in the expectations of HK employers-I may go back in the future but I am not sure.
It seems that the majority of the degree demands are on either marketing or computer science. I have been reading through advertisements from student job search, seekjob, the one we have here and even jobs government nz website. Hmm....do you have any recommendations where I can pay attention to the trend of the labour market?
